Mahia Motels &  Holiday Park accepts dogs on sites by pre-arrangement, except between 20 December – 30 January, Easter and Labour weekend each year, excluding school holidays.

We do not except dogs in our units (motels, cabins etc) at any time - no exceptions.

If you would like to bring your dog (off season) and you are staying in a unit (motel, cabin etc) either:

*  You will need to bring your own small kennel

*  Or your dog will need to sleep in your vehicle.

A Bond of $150.00 will be required.

Your dog is not at any time to enter the unit. On departure, the unit will be inspected. Should there be any sign that your pet has entered the room, the bond will not be returned and Mahia Motel & Holiday Park will keep this bond for decontamination and cleaning.

If not, the bond will be returned on departure.

The rules for dogs on sites are as follows;

Dog owners must notify reception that they have a dog on site. It is the dog owner’s responsibility to ensure the safety and supervision of their dog and of others around their dog.

Mahia Motel & Holiday Park reserves the right to exclude some breeds of dog entering their park

• All dogs must be legally registered
• All dogs must be vaccinated
• Dogs must be quiet and not disturb others
• All dogs must be of a friendly nature
• Dogs must be tied up and/or on a leash at all times. Wandering dogs and their owners will be asked to leave the park
• Owners must clean up after their dogs immediately
• Dogs are not permitted inside amenity blocks, units, kitchens or communal BBQ areas

DOGS ARE NOT PERMITTED IN GUEST ACCOMMODATION – NO EXCEPTIONS.
